How it works
Before Your Treatment
Your skin and treatment goals will be evaluated to determine the appropriate settings and intensity. Depending on your treatment, a topical numbing cream may be applied beforehand for comfort.
During Treatment
The Tetra PRO is passed over the treatment area, delivering precise CO₂ energy according to your customized treatment plan.
You may experience warmth, heat or a prickling sensation. Treatment time varies depending on the area and intensity being treated.
Immediately After
Your skin may look red and feel warm, similar to a sunburn. Swelling can also occur, particularly following more intensive treatments. Over the following days, your skin may feel dry, tight or rough and may begin to flake or peel as the resurfacing process occurs.
How Much Downtime Should I Expect?
This is one of the most important things to understand about Tetra PRO: Your downtime depends on your treatment.
A lighter CoolPeel treatment may involve redness, warmth, dryness or a sandpaper-like texture with relatively little disruption to your normal routine.
A deeper fractional CO₂ treatment can involve several days or more of noticeable redness, swelling, peeling, flaking and healing.
More intensive treatment generally means a more significant recovery process.
We’ll discuss your expected downtime before treatment so you know exactly what to plan for.
When Will I See Results?
Some patients begin noticing smoother, brighter-looking skin after the initial healing process. But the benefits of CO₂ don’t end when the peeling stops.
The treatment initiates a collagen-remodeling response that continues after the procedure, so improvements in skin texture and quality may continue to develop over the following weeks and months.
Depending on your treatment plan and concerns, a series of treatments may be recommended.
Is Tetra PRO CO₂ Right for Me?
